Spyderco Warrior Fixed Blade Black Finish
Spyderco Knives was founded in 1976 by Sal and Gail Glesser. They put down roots in Golden, CO and from there the first Syderco folding knife was released. That knife pioneered the concept of a round hole in the blade for one-handed opening, a clip on the handle for carry at the top of the pocket, and the option of a serrated edge for aggressive cutting performance. Those features revolutionized the knife industry and literally defined the form of the modern folding knife. Since then, Spyderco has steadily grown to become one of the leaders in the cutlery industry.
The Warrior combat knife from Spyderco features a black finished rust-free H-1 steel blade with a hollow-ground plain cutting edge and serrated edge spine portion. The skeletonized full-tang handle features FRN Bi-Directional Textured scales. Includes a black ballistic nylon sheath with Molle-vest attachment capability.
Spyderco's Warrior fixed blade combat knife is based largely on the groundbreaking research of close-combat icon Michael Echanis. The original Warrior knife was a radical design intended primarily for use with reverse-grip tactics inspired by the Korean martial art of HwaRangDo. Produced in limited quantities by the late Al Mar and later resurrected by the martial artist Bob Taylor and Echanis contemporary Randy Wanner, it is one of the most coveted combat knives ever made. The Spyderco Warrior faithfully retains all the salient features of the original, while adding a number of performance enhancements. Its revitalization happened at the request of our Israeli customer, Guy Rafaeli.
